Max Prus and Henry Coleman.
Euston Station, London.
May 2018
This site specific installation and exhibition was in response to Piscator, also known as the Euston Head, a large abstract sculpture by Eduardo Paolozzi. The sculpture was commissioned by British Rail in 1980 for the forecourt of Euston Station in London, and is named for the German theatre director Erwin Piscator. The interevention by Coleman was also a response to the demolition of the building where the intervention took place. The building was demolished in 2019 and the whole area around Euston Station has been affected by the construction of the HS2 train line which has been delayed several times.
